Welcome to Caring Hands Animal Hospital. We are a private practice led by Dr. Armando Martinez. We are a family practice because most of Dr. Martinez’s family and now grandchildren have played a role in helping this hospital feel so welcoming. The rest of our team is made up of wonderful individuals that love pets, as you can see through their care and smiles. We love being a part of a hospital that truly cares for the well being of its patients.

We have all experienced at one point or another, what it feels like to be treated like “just another transaction,” or be seen as profit or loss statement. That is why we pride ourselves in giving you and your pet the time and attention you deserve.

Our Mission is to Care for Pets as if They Were Our Own. And in order to accomplish that, we keep our vision in mind which is to create lasting relationships with our clients, earning their trust by treating them as we would like to be treated when getting care ourselves or for our loved ones.

Dr. Armando Martinez

DVM – Veterinarian Doctor

What Dr. Martinez enjoys most about being a veterinarian: “To be able to help defenseless animals get back to health.”

Dr. Martinez has had many pets throughout the years; from horses, cows, and goats to dog, cat, and avian. The two pets that have touched his heart the most are his loyal and good friend Pimpon, (a Jack Russell Terrier Mix who passed away in 2010), and his gal pal Maya, a very smart and loving white German Shepherd/Husky mix that he rescued in 2011.

Growing up in a small town in Guanajuato Mexico, and tending for his father’s farm animals, as one of his many childhood responsibilities, Dr. Martinez was inspired to become a Veterinarian. “I saw that there were a lot of large and small animals, getting sick and not enough veterinarians to care for them.”

Dr. Martinez graduated from EMVZ of Universidad Michoacana de San Nicholas de Hidalgo Mexico in 1985. In 2001 he received his Educational Commission for Foreign Veterinary Graduates (ECFVG Certificate) from Schaumburg Illinois. In 2002 he received his DVM License in the state of Nevada and has been working in the Las Vegas valley in different animal hospitals since. Dr. Martinez purchased Caring Hands Animal Hospital in 2011, where he hopes to grow and stay until he retires.

His favorite activity as a veterinarian: ‘Surgeries that are out of the ordinary and have a successful outcome.’

Practice Manager / Inventory Manager

Gonzalo has a Bachelors as a Pharmaceutical/Biological Chemist and has been working alongside his father-in-law in the Veterinary Field for over 11 years! He’s the “Go-To Guy” for anything you need help with from, resolving any practice challenge to fixing the printer or our Lab Machines, to ordering our daily Inventory, to assisting as a VA whenever needed, you name it! Gonzalo has a handsome Xolo “Anubis,” who he say’s is man’s absolute best friend!
